Vietnam veteran 'Four Leaf' Tayback's memoir, Tropic Thunder, is being made into a film, however Director Damien Cockburn can’t control the forged of prima donnas. Behind time table and over budget, Cockburn is ordered via a studio government to get filming again on track, or chance its cancellation. On Tayback's advice, Cockburn drops the actors into the heart of the jungle to movie the ultimate scenes but, unbeknownst to the actors and production, the crew have been dropped in the heart of the Golden Triangle, the home of heroin-producing gangs.
