Sandra is the supervisor at a fast-food restaurant, and Becky is her teenaged counter lady who really needs the job. One nerve-racking day, a police officer telephones and accuses Becky of stealing cash from a customer’s purse, which Becky vehemently denies. Sandra, crushed by her managerial responsibilities, complies with the officer’s orders to detain Becky, starting a nightmare that tragically blurs the traces among expedience, prudence, legality and reason.
