When Blade's mom was bitten by way of a vampire throughout pregnancy, she did not understand that she gave her son a unique gift while dying: All the good vampire attributes in aggregate with the best human skills. Blade and his mentor Whistler battle an evil vampire insurgent (Deacon Frost) who plans to take over the outmoded vampire council, seize Blade and resurrect voracious blood god La Magra.
